Dr. Katie Habetz
Associate Veterinarian and Medical Director
Dr. Katie Habetz has served our team as an associate veterinarian beginning in 2023. Her approach to treating your furry companions involves combining a deep knowledge of traditional medicine with a growing expertise in holistic care. She graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and later expanded her skills by completing a certification in large and small animal acupuncture through Chi University in 2023. Her approach to veterinary care focuses on treating the whole animal—physically and emotionally—while fostering long-term trust with her clients. Isabelle has been with EAC since 2019! She has matured into her role as a dedicated surgical assistant who plays a key part in keeping our patients safe and comfortable during their surgical or anesthetic procedures. With a calm and caring approach and high attention to the little details, she helps ensure every surgery runs smoothly from start to finish. You can thank Isabelle, mostly, for your pet’s pearly whites after a dental procedure! Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find her spending quality time with her family and furry companions! Her love for animals shines through in everything she does, making her a valued part of the team.

With years of experience and a deep compassion for animals, she brings both skill and warmth to every patient she cares for. Outside the clinic, Shyra enjoys spending time with her family, and nurturing her garden—two of her greatest joys. Whether she’s tending to pets or plants, or her daughter, Shyra’s nurturing spirit shines through in all she does.
“There’s no other family like the one we have at EAC. We work as a team, argue like siblings and are always there for one another-Like Family. Being able to work with animals and this team is truly a dream. I love being able to advocate for those that can’t speak up for themselves, and taking care of those in need.”
